The social services include:
- Assessing and addressing the client’s social needs;
- Providing information about relevant social activities and making these activities available to the client;
- Referring the client to educational and training courses outside the Center;
- Searching for services which cannot be independently accessed by the clients themselves
- Mediating with service provider organizations
Defending client interests and exploring formal and informal supportive networks for the client.
When necessary, GCRT staff will also visit the client at his or her place of residence in order to assess the situation and on basis of this provide more tailor-made social services. This includes, when applicable, visiting penitentiary establishments and IDP settlements.
